Mike's GMCs

I found a good "core" for my long term GMC project. It is a 1977 Birchaven Side Bath. It is only 23 foot long (all Birch's are 23 foot) and has a 455 engine. I have them all "hidden" behind my fence. But snapped a pic when I had them all out on the street.

Looks like a mini-rally.... but only one GMC'er!

I have pictures of the "recovery" of the 77. I'll post them later... that project will not start for some time. I think I'll go through the parts and put the best parts on the '78, the next best on the '73 and use the worse parts as "core" parts to buy NEW parts for the 77. I plan going though it rebuilding it with the idea of still using it in the year 2040. This rebuild is projected to be a "5 year mission."

New lower control arms, links, shocks and axles.

New upper control arms.

It has looked like this for almost two months... wife isn't happy.

Got it mostly back together... for this problem on this project.
